Stops signs can be a great tool to control traffic, but they can also create unintended consequences if installed in locations where they are not warranted. The Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Devices has standards for stop signs and other traffic control devices. Belmont FWSD 1 is required to comply with these standards in the District.
